Licensure as a Behavioral Health Service Organization followed, making it possible to treat individuals who are dually diagnosed with both substance use and mental health disorders. Established in 1999, Isaiah House was originally founded in Central Kentucky as a Christian ministry for homeless men who had been recently released from incarceration. It evolved into a nonprofit addiction treatment program in response to many of its residents struggling with substance use disorders. In 2002, the program moved from a residential home to a donated 92-bed facility in Willisburg, KY.
